BIO 3140 - Introduction to Microbiology The instruction of this course focuses on the study of microorganisms, including growth and morphology of representative organisms, microbial physiology, and selected topics in bacterial pathogenesis, virology, and immunology. The laboratory exercises develop fundamental skills in aseptic technique, microscopy, pure culture study, and the isolation and identifications of selected microorganisms.
Prerequisites & Notes The prerequisite is BIO 2320 or BIO 2240, or permission. There is a lab fee. This course is offered every summer.
